How screening works


When you apply for an apartment, you go through a process called tenant screening. The process usually works like this:

  1. You apply to rent a home.
  2. The landlord hires a screening company to write a report about you, called the tenant screening report.
  3. The landlord reviews your screening report.
  4. Your screening report may include your:
